Taking the SAT/PSAT is a great way to find out how ready you are for college. To be an effective test taker, students are recommended to prepare for this test. The more familiar students are with the question format, the more comfortable they will be when they see similar questions on the actual test. It is also beneficial to practice how to answer the student-produced response questions on the Math Test to avoid mistakes while recording the answers. The same habits and choices that lead to success in school will help you get ready for the SAT. The SAT/ PSAT 10 has three tests: the Reading Test, the Writing and Language Test, and the Math Test.
The goal of this course is to engage students and get them familiarized with the test taking process of the Math sections in the test. The class is divided into two sections. During the course the coach will go over several examples of common test questions from various sections and review the mistakes and discuss strategies and necessary conceptual review to secure an understanding of the correct solution. The students will also take a few timed tests with a complete review of the solutions.
PSAT 8/9 test is specifically meant for students in 8th and 9th grade and is meant for students who are taking these tests for proper high school advanced course placements. PSAT 8/9 preparation involves a complete cumulative review of all the important mathematical concepts they have learned thus far.
